The Wycliffe Ministry of

Steve & Melissa Woodard

Steve, Melissa and their boys moved to West Asia in 2010 to serve in Bible Translation. Their main focus is the *Spring language Bible, a language of more than 13 million speakers. Having nearly completed the OT, a group of *Spring believers and pastors have started a final read through of the text. Everyone is so excited to see the end in sight. A revision of the Spring New Testament will begin in October 2024 and Lord willing, the entire Bible will be printed in the spring of 2026. Steve also works with five other translations projects either as a translation consultant or project manager. Melissa works part-time in project administration and team oversight. ~~

Having lived in West Asia from 2010 onward, due to local authorities becoming unfriendly towards this translation work, the Woodards were abruptly forced to leave at the end of 2019. This was a difficult season for the five of them. After some time in the USA, their family moved to Kandern, Germany in August 2021. This move has put them much closer in time zone to those they work with in West Asia. ~~

Thank you so much for joining them in this Wycliffe ministry! May God use all of our efforts to bring His truth to the Spring people.

Please feel free to contact them. They would love to hear from you!

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment. This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
